Spot:

Our newest addition, Spot was born in September 2005 on a cattle ranch in Montana.  Originally donated to the Los Angeles Search and Rescue Foundation, Spot came to Paws 4 Ewe when there were no interim foster homes available for the period before she was to begin her SAR training.  Attempting to help place her in a suitable home, Michele exposed the 12-week-old pup to sheep and fell in love.  Spot is currently having a ball, growing up and romping with the other Paws 4 Ewe pack.  Formal training will begin when she’s a little older, but for now she gets on sheep about once a month so she can begin to get a feel for them.

Mick:

A rescue dog with a hard beginning, Mick helps around the ranch with chores and with lessons.  Occasionally, he assists students, helping them to hone their handling skills while they run him through a course.
